Important information regarding your re-roof job:
If there are currently two or more roofs installed on your building, local building codes will generally require the removal of all existing roofing before a new roof can be installed. If only one roof is presently installed, the Code will allow you to overlay the existing roof provided that the Owner (you?) obtain a structural engineers report stating that the building can withstand the weight of an additional roof. Some companies and government bodies may choose to loosely interpret the re-roofing requirements of the Uniform Building Code and will propose to install or allow more than two roof systems on a given building. We do not believe that this is legal, ethical, or in the best interests of our customers. Some contractors may choose to interpret the code differently than our members, which could ultimately put the owners at risk. Please be aware of these possible differences when comparing our quotation to our competitors.
